Why visit isla blanca?

Our small eco hotel has been in the paradise of isla blanca for more than 20 years! 

Little by little we have been learning all about this beautiful place,

And now we want to share it with you!


Its name comes from the fact that in the past the Caribbean Sea separated the peninsula of Isla Blanca with a blue water channel; nowadays it is a peninsula since there is no water separating it from the mainland, but you can enjoy in the same place the beauties of the turquoise blue sea and the Chacmuchuc lagoon. 


Are you a nature lover? 

Isla Blanca is a paradisiacal and uncrowded beach where you can enjoy nature and tranquility.


Here you can find a diversity of fauna that inhabits the mangroves, for example: flamingos, pelicans, blue crabs, crab caserola, foxes, raccoons and a diversity of wild birds. 


What to do in Isla Blanca? 


1. Water sports:

Isla blanca is one of the best places in the world to learn and practice (kiteboarding, kitesurfing) thanks to its shallow waters and constant wind, thanks to its location you can enjoy wind from any direction;

The most recommended school is "Ikarus kiteboarding" with excellent facilities and a lot of experience in kite lessons. 


2. Sport fishing:

If you are a lover of sport fishing, fly fishing this place is ideal for you. There are some tours that allow you to live this experience with a professional and get fish like tarpon,

snook, permit, bonefish, among others.


3. Tours in the lagoon:

You can also enjoy different boat tours in the lagoon, such as (tour to the manatee lagoon, tour to boca iglesias).


4. Enjoy the beach:

On sunny and windless days, you can enjoy the turquoise blue sea and white sandy beaches. 


5. Sunset:

Without a doubt you cannot miss this magical moment, the sunsets in isla blanca are unique, you will be able to see how the sun goes into the lagoon painting the landscape with beautiful colors. 


Lodging:

They have a restaurant where you can enjoy a variety of Mexican and Italian food, as well as a variety of drinks from a fresh coconut, beer or cocktails. 

 The food is of great quality and is highly recommended by locals and travelers. 


How to get there?


1. If you have a car, take Bonampak Avenue towards Punta Sam. This road leads to Isla Blanca.

2. If you prefer to use public transportation, you can take a bus at the corner of López Portillo and Tulum avenues. There are 3 buses a day, at 7:00, 11:00 and 16:00, which go to the end of Isla Blanca and return half an hour later.
